A choral evening amongst the symphony concerts
Voices
Symphony Concert
The Komische Oper Berlin boasts an opera choir of exceptional quality. While this may be attested to by awards like Opera Choir of the Year (Opernwelt magazine), you really need to come experience the full effect for yourself, with the choral soloists from the Komische Oper Berlin. Normally, they shine in stage productions from oratorios to jazz-age operettas, dancing with good cheer and acting with utmost commitment. But in this concert, all energies are focussed on their core expertise: producing an exquisite choral sound of the highest class. With great Romantic works of the genre from Johannes Brahms to rarely heard pieces by Franz Schreker, under the guidance of Chorus Director David Cavelius.
