Festival for brand-new musical theater

Let's go for the second round of Schall&Rausch! In February 2024, the Komische Oper Berlin once again invites you to the festival for brand-new music theatre in the area of the former Kindl brewery in Berlin-Neukölln to celebrate burning issues with a love of experimentation and pop-cultural glamour! Unafraid of rousing melodies, bubbling beats and lots of glitter, the Komische Oper Berlin will be setting the musical theatre ablaze for ten days.

Theatre makers Ted Hearne and Daniel Fish meet choreographer Nora Chipaumire, the Dutch performance collective CLUB GEWALT meets performer and hit lover Daniel Cremer, the feminist punk band Herr Hamsterfleisch meets the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin. In the work-out opera Yuri, a world premiere by Ted Hearne and Daniel Fish, the long-term performance shebeenDUB, the ecstatic Like a Prayer and many other surprises, they come together in Schall&Rausch to dare the balancing act between experiment and pop, depth and sparkling surface in good Komische Oper tradition.
