Olivia Clarke, former English National Opera Mackerras Fellow and Assistant Conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, recently made her debut with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Clarke has conducted productions at English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival, Welsh National Opera, Royal Academy of Music London, and has also worked with the Royal Ballet and Opera in Covent Garden and Opéra Orchestre Rouen Normandie. On the symphonic stage Clarke has guest conducted Philharmonia, the Hallé, Royal Northern Sinfonia, St Endellion Festival, Bridges Kammerorchester, Britten Sinfonia, and Sinfonia Viva. Olivia Clarke completed training at the International Conducting Academy Berlin, Universität der Künste, which she completed in 2020. Before moving to Berlin, she also completed her master’s degree in singing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Clarke is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists and completed her Bachelor of Music with an Organ Scholarship at Queen’s College, University of Oxford. Her career is generously supported by the Philip Loubser Foundation and the Royal Philharmonic Society.
