Leo Eisenreich (Solist des Tölzer Knabenchors)

The Tölzer Knabenchor is one of the most famous and successful boys’ choirs in the world and performs in approximately 150 concerts and opera productions each year. Its repertoire spans the entire spectrum of choral music, from the Baroque era to the present day, with a special focus on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.

The soloists of the Tölzer Knabenchor have performed at major opera houses, including Teatro alla Scala, the Opéra Bastille in Paris, the Zurich Opera House, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Nationale Opera in Amsterdam. Over the decades, renowned conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Herbert von Karajan, Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, and Kirill Petrenko have worked with the Tölzer Knabenchor.

In addition, concert tours take the Tölzer Knabenchor throughout Europe, to Russia, Israel, Asia, and the United States. The choir is regularly invited to the most prestigious festivals, such as the Salzburg Festival, the Leipzig Bach Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival, and the Shanghai Baroque Festival.

The choir has received numerous awards for its recordings, including the German Record Prize, the French Record Prize, the Diapason d’Or, the ECHO Klassik from the German Phono Academy Berlin, and a Grammy Award nomination. The Tölzer Knaben sing the roles of the three boys in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Komische Oper Berlin, the Semperoper Dresden, the Staatstheater Nürnberg, and the Staatsoper Stuttgart. This season, the soloists of the Tölzer Knabenchor are singing the role of the Putto in Olga Neuwirth’s Orlando directed by Ewelina Marciniak.
