Going on a voyage means discovering new things, having adventures, and encountering the unknown: starting in August 2023, the ageing home base of the Komische Oper Berlin on Behrenstrasse will be renovated, remodelled, and expanded. And thus prepared for the future. For Berlin’s city government, it’s an investment not only in the unique institution that is the Komische Oper Berlin, but also a commitment to music theatre as an art form and to the wider city as a cultural hub.
