Franziska Harm
Franziska Harm first studied architecture, then stage and costume design. While still a student at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, she worked as a costume assistant at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden. This was followed by a position as stage design assistant at the Bühnen der Stadt Köln, where she created numerous sets of her own.
Since 2016, she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer, collaborating with Simon Solberg and Pınar Karabulut, among others.
Engagements have taken her to the Theater Bonn, the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Münchner Volkstheater, the Schauspiel Köln and the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin. Since 2020, she has been designing stage sets for theatre and opera with Philipp Stölzl – for example, for the Residenztheater Munich, the Burgtheater Vienna, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Baden-Baden Festival, the Theater Basel and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin. For Das Vermächtnis at the Residenztheater Munich, she was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2023 as part of Philipp Stölzl's team. For the Seebühne at the Bregenz Festival in 2024, she worked with the director on Weber's Der Freischütz. At the Komische Oper Berlin, they jointly designed the stage set for Jesus Christ Superstar.
