With his special combination as director and choreographer, Christopher Tölle has made a name for himself on German-speaking stages in recent years.
At the moment, Christopher is preparing for his next projects. These include Cluedo - das Mörderspiel (director) for the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz and the musical Hairspray (direction and choreography) for the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall.
His most recent productions include the plays Stolz und Vorurteil *oder so (director) with Anna Maria Mühe at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, Curtain Up for Cyrano (director) and Mord im Orientexpress (co-director & choreography) at the Schillertheater Berlin, An American in Paris, The 5 Glorious Seven in the Bar jeder Vernunft (co-director & creative collaboration), Aida on the Great Staircase in Schwäbisch Hall (direction & choreography), Parisian Life for the Landesbühnen Sachsen, but also works for the big screen with the choreography for the feature film Ich war noch niemals in New York with Heike Makatsch, Katharina Thalbach, Moritz Bleibtreu and Uwe Ochsenknecht in the leading roles, the choreography for the music video for radio by Rammstein and the current solo programs by Gayle Tufts, Sophie Berner and the Pfister siblings.
Christopher Tölle has also celebrated directing successes with Saturday Night Fever (Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall, 2018), Hairspray (touring production for Eurostudio Landgraf, 2017), La Cage aux Folles (Staatstheater Mainz, 2017 and 2023) and Der kleine Horrorladen (Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, 2016). His choreographies enriched the successful production of Philipp Stölzl's Turandot at the Staatsoper unter den Linden (2022), Aida at the Semperoper directed by Katharina Thalbach (2022), Frau Luna (Tipi am Kanzleramt Berlin, 2016-2018), Maria ihm schmeckt ́s nicht (Freilichtbühne Schwäbisch Hall, 2017), Doris Day with Angelika Milster (Schlosspark Theater Berlin, 2016), Cabaret (Staatstheater Darmstadt, 2016), Westside Story (Wuppertal Opera House, 2015) and La Cage aux Folles (Zeltpalast Merzig, 2015).
