Pavel B. Jiracek

Pavel B. Jiracek received training as a singer and pianist. After graduating from Eton College in England, he studied musicology at the University of Oxford and completed the »Executive Master in Arts Administration« course at the University of Zurich. After stints with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Lucerne Festival and the Konzertdirektion Schmid, he began his theatre career in the dramaturgy department of the Staatsoper Hannover. He then worked as a dramaturg at the Komische Oper Berlin, Bühnen Bern and Theater Basel, among others. Most recently, Pavel B. Jiracek was opera director at Theater Basel.
