resonare
Jung für alle
Since 2021, the Komische Oper Berlin has been working with people living with dementia and their loved ones. Every week, we sing together, dance, reminisce, and share stories. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we join the participants in searching for the music of their lives and sing whatever moves their souls. A fourth singing group, which meets in Turkish, has now been added to the three existing resonare singing groups. During group visits to performances, participants experience the art form of musical theater and have the opportunity to connect with like-minded people. In addition, small concerts designed to meet the needs of people with dementia are held in a sensitive atmosphere.
At the Manfred Strohscheer Academy, facilitators are trained and share their experiences.
The project is supported and researched by the Memory Clinic at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
