Since its founding in 2008, around five young singers and one pianist participate each year in the Komische Oper Berlin’s Opera Studio. The program, which aims to bridge the gap between university and the profession, offers practical training both on and offstage, including vocal and language coaching, workshops, auditions and masterclasses to specifically prepare them for the demands of everyday life on stage. The young singer-actors take their first professional steps on an international stage as part of our opera productions, concerts and outreach programs.
