Tent at Rotes Rathaus

On the grounds between Marx-Engels-Forum and the Neptune Fountain, the Komische Oper Berlin will be pitching its tent until the end of the season—quite literally! Inside a beautiful Art Deco tent, we’re reviving East Germany’s Heiteres Musiktheater (‘light-hearted music theatre’), a genre unjustly in danger of falling in oblivion. This is music you need to hear — especially Gerd Natschinski’s Gisela, Hit of the Trade Fair, whose title says it all: one hit after another!
