Hussein Al Shatheli

Esra Rotthoff

Hussein AL Shatheli was born in Damascus in 1985. He studied at the renowned Damascus University of Performing Arts in 2012. AL Shatheli has worked on various projects in theater, film and television in Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Iran. He appeared in the musical Oliver Twist at the Damascus Opera House in the film Ladder to Damascus. The exile ensemble of the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, of which Hussein AL Shatheli was a member, developed the play Winterreise together with Yael Ronen.
