After a wild New Year’s Eve celebration, many of us feel like Mary Shelley’s creature Frankenstein the next morning: Freshly assembled, eyes a little glassy, with a head full of wild scenes! Hardly any day is better suited for a festive hangover and a healthy New Year’s stroll than the first day of the year. Under the musical direction of designated General Music Director James Gaffigan, the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin—with the help of actor and jack-of-all-trades Max Hopp—takes you on a wild ride into the New Year: from Joseph Haydn's Chaos from The Creation, to HK Gruber's pop-culture fever dream Frankenstein!!, to the well-deserved Evening Blessing from the pen of Engelbert Humperdinck!
