General Music Director and pianist Tzimon Barto musically conjure the concentrated power of poetic tone colors. From Debussy’s sunken cathedral, to the bell-like chords of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2, to the sun-drenched morning ambience of the Swiss alps in Honegger’s atmospheric music, to the cosmic vastness of Alexander Scriabin's Poème de l'extase. Together with the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, Rubiķis and Barto will transform spaces and landscapes into sound, showing off the many facets of these works that thirst for life.
