Sing-along project for elementary school children
Berlin Sing Along
This will take place for the fourth time in the 2022 / 23 season: the Berlin Sing Along with three Berlin elementary schools. For one school semester, approximately 1,000 children prepare a song program with their music teachers and music theatre educators from the Komische Oper Berlin. Then they present it as a concert in the main hall. They will be joined by musicians, members of the ensemble and the children’s choir. The whole thing will be an atmospheric and also very cheerful affair, because singing together is fun!
As part of the project, the picture book Ich hab' eine Freundin, die ist Opernsängerin [I Have a Friend Who is an Opera Singer] has been published by Carlsen Verlag. There will also be a songbook with the highlights of the Berlin Sing Alongs.
