Safety first!
Sorry, no opera ...

Dear visitors and guests,

regretfully we see ourselves compelled by the present situation concerning the coronavirus to cancel all performances up to and including 19 April 2020. Here we are acting in accordance with the Senator for Culture and Europe, Dr. Klaus Lederer, who has cancelled all planned performances of the state theatres, operas and concert halls in Berlin for the time being until the end of the Easter holidays, that is until 19 April 2020. Guided tours and other activities as well as events planned for external venues are also cancelled. This is a reflection of our wish to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus or at least to slow it down.

No action is required!

If you purchased tickets for performances in the time period indicated above, you don’t need to do anything. The value of your tickets will be automatically converted into a voucher – the amount will be securely stored in your customer account. The voucher can be used until the end of 2023 and will be sent to you by post or email. You may also redeem the voucher for cash after you receive it.

Thanks for your patience!

Our service staff are working hard to process the high number of inquiries. We ask for your patience – we will get in touch with you. We are processing all previously made inquiries and exchange and refund requests as initially planned.

Note: If you purchased your tickets through another booking agency (such as or an organization for group ticket purchases, we kindly ask you to contact them directly.

Ticket sales will be open as usual for performances scheduled on and after 20 April 2020. We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Stay healthy!
Sincerely yours, Komische Oper Berlin

P.S. Thank you, again. We are working continuously to keep you well-informed and to ensure that our services best meet your needs.
