The Orchestra

From the very beginning, the Komische Oper Berlin has had its own orchestra. The opening of the house in December 1947 was also the birth of this newly founded orchestra, with which Walter Felsenstein wanted to realise his concept of music theatre. Opera Studio

In 2008, the Komische Oper Berlin founded the International Opera Studio, which offers up to five young singers a practice-oriented, intensive additional training after their studies and prepares them specifically for their stage careers.
