The children's choir of the Komische Oper Berlin, led by Christoph Rosiny and Jane Richter, is made up of 80 boys and girls aged between 6 and 14, and is a firm feature of the opera house's music theatre tradition. During the 2010/11 season, the children's choir will play a leading role in the children's opera Die Schneekönigin (The Snow Queen). The children also contribute with great musicality and enthusiasm to large operas such as La Bohème, appearing on stage as singers and performers. The choir's concert work also includes performances during the concerts for children at the new season festival.
In order to be able to realise this demanding programme at a high artistic level, the children receive age-appropriate vocal training from the choir soloist and voice-coach Jane Richter. Any children aged 6 or over who are interested are warmly welcome!
