Ina Kringelborn was born in Oslo and there studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music between 2002 and 2004, before going on to study under Susanna Eken at the Opera Academy in Copenhagen. During her studies, she sang in such roles as Fiordiligi, Marie in »The Bartered Bride«, Countess Almaviva in »Le nozze di Figaro«, Donna Elvira in »Don Giovanni«, and Marie in »Wozzeck«. In 2007, she made her operatic debut in Norway, singing in the role of Valencienne in »The Merry Widow«. In 2008, she sang in the character of Sandrina in Haydn's »L’infedeltà delusa« in Aix-en-Provence, and gave guest performances with this production in Monaco, Sceaux, Bilbao, and Valladolid. In 2009, Ina Kringelborn took on the part of Mimi in »La Bohème« at the summer opera in Oscarsborg/Norway, and gave guest performances as Fortuna in Monteverdi's L’incoronazione di Poppea at the new Oslo Opera House. Alongside opera, she has dedicated herself to Lieder, and performed in Hong Kong and Peking during a tour of China. Ina Kringelborn became a member of the Komische Oper Berlin ensemble in 2010, and has already performed here in the role of Countess Almaviva in »The Marriage of Figaro«.
