Robin Hood, The Knight of the rose
Gideon Davey works for the theatre, film and television. So he has designed, amongst others, stage set and costumes for Don Giovanni at the Cologne Opera, for the opera »Powder Her Face« in the London Almeida Theatre as well as costumes for »Der Zigeunerbaron« and Faust« at the Vienna Volksoper (all staged by David Alden), »Macbeth« and »Pélleas et Mélisande« at the City of Birmingham Touring Opera, »Don Pasquale« in Maastricht, »The Banquet« in Genua and Rome, for »Giasone« at the Spoleto Festival and for »Le nozze di Figaro« in a BBC-television version. Besides, he has designed the costumes for a scenic production of »Winterreise« with Ian Bostridge. As well he was the production designer of the feature-film »Die neun Leben des Tomas Katz«. His first work for the Komische Oper Berlin was the décor set for David Alden's »Alcina« staging. In the 2005/06 season, »The Knight of the Rose« was staged at the Komische Oper (Direction: Andreas Homoki), a production, for which Gideon Davey has designed the costumes.
